CAD Designer/Design-Build Project Manager

 Experience:

  1. Minimum 5 years experience in design-build construction.
  2. Thorough knowledge of quantity surveying and construction cost estimating.
  3. Capable of managing multiple projects of varying values up to $2,000,000 in contract value.
  4. Completing projects on time, on budget and to the Client's total satisfaction.

 Education:        

  1. Construction industry related diploma, including architectural design and drafting, and construction project management fields.
  2. Enrolled in the Gold Seal Certification program.
  3. Thorough knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit Architecture software.

 Responsibilities:

Meet with clients and develop designs based on their wants and needs.

  1. Develop design and working drawings.
  2. Cost out with subtrades and prepare design-build proposal.
  3. Collaborate with architects and engineers to prepare permit drawings.
  4. Project Management during construction process.
  5. Project startup activities including: permits, scheduling, budgeting, purchase orders.
  6. Ongoing project activities including: shop drawing review, job progress review, site meetings and minutes, processing change orders, preparing monthly progress draws.
  7. Project closeout activities including: maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, release of holdback, project turnover at occupancy.
